Development Update 2023. 06. 29.

Hello!

There hasn't been any real updates regarding this game for some time now, and I felt I needed to add some information for the few people who might be interested in what's going on with Jumper. The 21st of this month (June) marked the 1 year anniversary of me making this game. I originally wanted to publish this then, but I got a bit lazy. Anyways, that's not the point. This entry into the series changes on many aspects of the previous game's stale mechanics. Admittedly a bit rough around the edges, but I think it's an overall improvement to the games. Jumper is more dynamic, fast, and animated than before. Levels are less linear than before: there still is a clear goal, but you can explore tiny side branches at times. Also,  there is now a world map to choose your next level from, which gives me the ability to add areas which aren't important for the story, but can add extra gameplay. (Such as Suspicious Island.) Powerups from Jumper 4 return, and expanded upon. Namely, the Fire Power-up and it's little sibling, the Freeze Power-up. The freeze power-up was planned for Jumper 4, but never really implemented. They do not work the same in idea, In Jumper 4 you had to use your mouse to aim the fire balls, here you just have an area of damage around you for a temporary time. The Freeze power-up meanwhile encases smaller enemies into an ice-cube that can be easily broken.  As for progress about the game, I would say slow, but steady. It's definitely getting released some time, because it's too big of a project to just throw out the window, and because it could also be valuable feedback. It might fail, it might not.

In short, it's in the making still, and climbing towards completion with every day.
